Noble Car Crash Causes 1,500 Customer Power Outage - June 1, 2020

Just before 2 AM on June 1, 2020, a single-vehicle crash occurred in front of the Noble Hardware Store just north of the intersection of N Main St and E Etowah Rd. The vehicle, a red mustang, appeared to be traveling northbound at a high rate of speed on N Main St when it lost control just north of the intersection and went off the right side of the road. The vehicle struck several metal poles and took out the chain along the side of the road and sideswiping a telephone pole leaving pieces of the pole on Main St. The vehicle ended up stopping just on the edge of the Noble Hardware Store parking lot facing back southwest. The front end of the vehicle sustained significant damage.

A telephone wire that connected to the nearest telephone pole to the crash and crossed the road was snapped and wrapped around the telephone wires across the street. A second wire was down and stretching from the white limo and stretched off to the north. This crash resulted in a power outage across parts of northern Noble and southeastern Norman, Oklahoma, affecting over 1,500 customers. The power was restored just after 3:00 AM.

The single occupant of the car was a male. Unknown at this time what type of injuries he might have sustained.
