Free Community Workshop: Social Media Safety

  • Burnsville Fire Station #1 14275 Newton Avenue Burnsville, MN, 55306 United States (map)

The City of Burnsville invites residents to a free educational workshop on Social Media Safety at Fire Station No. 1 on Thursday, April 17, at 6 p.m. (please park in the main lot near the entrance).

Led by their Behavioral Health and Community Risk Reduction teams, this informative session will explore how social media can be used to exploit individuals and how to protect yourself and your loved ones. Participants will learn how to recognize phishing messages, spot red flags, and access resources if they’ve been targeted or harmed online.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions and take part in this open community conversation. This seminar is part of Burnsville’s ongoing monthly outreach series, reflecting our commitment to community safety and wellness.

All are welcome – no registration required.
