Lakeville woman suspected of stealing over $1,000 worth of merchandise from Apple Valley Target
APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - A Lakeville woman was arrested by Apple Valley Police Officers and is suspected of stealing over $1,000 in merchandise over several occasions from Target in Apple Valley, Minnesota.
According to the criminal complaint, Apple Valley Police Officers were called to the Target, located at 15150 Cedar Avenue in Apple Valley, Minnesota around 8:47 PM on Thursday, September 7, 2023. When Apple Valley Police Officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with a loss prevention specialist for Target who reported, that the suspect was seen skip-scanning merchandise from the store and that she was seen doing this on numerous previous occasions.
Officers with the Apple Valley Police Department then spoke with the suspect, who was identified as 47-year-old Angela Krebs of Lakeville, Minnesota. Following being given her Miranda statement, Ms. Krebs denies knowing anything about stealing any merchandise from Target.

August 11th, 19th, and 27th, 2023 - On multiple occasions in August, Ms. Krebs was seen getting merchandise from inside the Target store and then using the self-service checkout to scan some of the items she had, but not all of them. Ms. Krebs would then leave the store without paying for the unscanned items. The total loss to Target from these incidents was $179.78, 252.42, and 250.18 respectively.
September 3rd and 7th, 2023 - In September, Ms. Krebs was once again seen on two occasions getting merchandise from inside the Target store and using the self-service checkout to scan some of the items she had, but not all of them. Ms. Krebs would once again leave the store without paying for the unscanned items. The total loss to Target from these two incidents was $133.06 and $204.42 respectively.
In total, Angela Krebs is suspected of stealing $1,019.86 worth of merchandise from the Apple Valley Target. She was been charged with one count of Felony Theft (Aggregating) which comes with a maximum sentence of 0 to 5 years and/or a fine of $3,000 to $10,000.
