Injuries Reported Following Two-Vehicle Crash in Rosemount

ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA – According to the Rosemount Police Department, a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road 42 and Biscayne Avenue on Friday evening led to injuries among multiple occupants, including a child who was hospitalized.

At approximately 5:21 p.m. on November 8, 2024, Rosemount Police and Fire departments were dispatched to the scene following a report of a crash involving injuries. According to the Rosemount Police, a vehicle carrying four occupants was traveling west on County Road 42 and attempting a left turn to head south on Biscayne Avenue when it was struck on the passenger side (T-boned) by an eastbound vehicle with three occupants.

Emergency responders arrived to find injuries among passengers in the vehicle making the left turn to go south on Biscayne Avenue. A young child in this vehicle suffered a significant leg injury after their leg became trapped between the car door and their seat. Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the child, who was then transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Medical personnel believe the child’s leg may be broken. Another child in the same vehicle sustained minor facial cuts and was transported to the hospital by a parent. Tragically, an elderly dog in the vehicle did not survive the crash. Rosemount Police officers transported the dog to a nearby animal hospital.

The occupants of the second vehicle were not reported to have sustained any injuries.

Rosemount Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
