The City of Burnsville is Offering Three Ways to Celebrate Halloween This October
BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - Burnsville is gearing up for a spook-tacular Halloween season, offering three family-friendly events that guarantee fun for all ages and even furry friends! From trick-or-treating in the park to a dog costume contest, there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy.
Halloween Fest
Friday, Oct. 25 | 6 - 8 p.m.
Nicollet Commons Park, 12550 Nicollet Ave
Cost: $7 per family
Kick off your Halloween celebrations with the annual Halloween Fest at Nicollet Commons Park. This festive event invites families to experience a lighted trick-or-treat trail where local businesses and organizations will hand out candy and small goodies. Attendees can enjoy DJ entertainment by Kids Dance, roaming performers, and plenty of Halloween-themed fun. Costumes are encouraged, so be sure to dress your best! Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest
Saturday, Oct. 26 | Noon - 2 p.m.

Halloween isn’t just for humans—bring your four-legged pals to the Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest at Alimagnet Dog Park! Hosted by PACK (People of Alimagnet Caring for K9s), this event is free to attend and includes prizes for the best dog costumes, along with a fall-themed photo booth. It’s a great way to celebrate the spooky season with your pup. No registration is required, but make sure your dog is friendly, vaccinated, and on a leash.
Halloween Skate Party
Sunday, Oct. 27 | Noon - 1:30 p.m.
Burnsville Ice Center, 251 Civic Center Parkway
Cost: FREE ($5 skate rental available)
End your Halloween weekend with a cool spin at the Burnsville Ice Center’s Halloween Skate Party. Families are invited to enjoy open skating, trick-or-treating, and chances to win prizes in a fun, festive atmosphere. Costumes are encouraged, and skate rentals are available for just $5.
