Two Separate Incidents on Cedar Avenue in Apple Valley Lead to Arrests and Ongoing Investigations

APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA—Police are investigating two separate incidents that occurred on Cedar Avenue in Apple Valley, Minnesota, on the evening of Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Both incidents led to arrests, though the cases remain active and under investigation.

The first event, classified as a weapons-related incident, took place at approximately 5:17 PM between a Honda and a pickup truck on southbound Cedar Avenue. According to officials from the Apple Valley Police Department, the altercation began near 140th Street West and continued down Cedar Avenue, concluding near 147th Street West. Based on video footage and public reports, the confrontation ended with one driver being arrested and issued a citation. The details of what transpired are still being reviewed, and police have stated that the case remains open.

Just 20 minutes later, a separate incident occurred involving a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of 150th Street West and Cedar Avenue. At least one individual fled the scene on foot but was swiftly apprehended by officers in the area. Charges against the individual are still pending as the police conduct their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
