Motorhome Fire Claims Life on I-35E in Eagan
EAGAN, MINNESOTA – A tragic incident unfolded late Sunday evening when a motorhome stalled on the roadside caught fire on northbound I-35E near Northwood Parkway in Eagan. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the fire broke out around 10:18 PM, trapping the driver inside the vehicle.
The motorhome, identified as a 1988 Southwind Motor Home, had reportedly broken down on the side of the road when the fire erupted. Despite efforts to control the blaze, the driver, a 30-year-old male from Inver Grove Heights, MN, was unable to escape and was pronounced dead at the scene. Local emergency services, including the Eagan Police, Eagan Fire Department, and Minnesota State Patrol, all responded to the call. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and more information is expected to be released later today.
