Endangered Missing Person Investigation Continues in Randolph Township, MN

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, MN—According to a press release from the Dakota County Sheriff's Office, they are intensifying their efforts to locate 56-year-old Nicole Anderson. Anderson was reported missing after she left her Randolph Township home on foot on the morning of Saturday, July 6th, 2024, and failed to return. Anderson's family reported her missing on the afternoon of Monday, July 8th, 2024, prompting an immediate and extensive search operation by investigators.

Sheriff Joe Leko of the Dakota County Sheriff's Office released a statement detailing the steps taken since Anderson's disappearance. On Monday, July 8th, a comprehensive search of Anderson's home, property, and the surrounding area was conducted using various resources, including canines, drones, and helicopters. Despite these efforts, Anderson was not located.

Their investigation then led deputies to execute a search warrant on Wednesday, July 10th, at the residence of Anderson's [Ex-] boyfriend, 42-year-old Matthew Suttles, in the City of Randolph. According to the press release, Suttles, who had an active felony warrant for a probation violation in Le Sueur County, was not present during the initial search. However, he turned himself into deputies shortly after that. Suttles’ property, which Anderson was known to frequent, was thoroughly searched yesterday afternoon and evening with help from the Dakota County Special Operations Team, Randolph-Hampton Fire Department, and Cannon Falls Fire Department.

According to the press release, Suttles was arrested on his outstanding warrant and questioned regarding Anderson's disappearance. While he is currently held in the Dakota County jail, he will soon be transferred to Le Sueur County. It is important to note that Suttles is not being held on charges related to Anderson's disappearance at this time.

Sheriff Leko emphasized that the search for Nicole Anderson remains a top priority and is still an active investigation. The Dakota County Sheriff's Office continues to follow all leads and urges anyone with information to come forward. Updates on the investigation will be shared through the Sheriff's Office's social media channels.
