Repurpose and upcycle old and thrifted fashion for teens for FREE in South St Paul!
SOUTH ST PAUL - The South St. Paul Library will host a local St Paul artist who will teach teens how to repurpose and upcycle old or thrifted clothes for free this coming Thursday, July 13, 2023. The local artist is Z Akhmetova, a cartoonist, illustrator, and textile artist from Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The free lesson is geared for teens between the ages of 12 to 18 years old and will be held downstairs of the South St Paul Library, located at 106 3rd Ave N, South St Paul, MN 55075, between 2 to 4 PM. The event is a great way for teens to learn how to take a shirt they might love and turn it into a tote bag, size up a shirt or clothing item you found at a thrift store that could be too small, or any teen wanting to try to add some spark to their wardrobe. It will also teach teens how to recycle and repurpose clothing instead of wasting fast fashion. Some materials will be provided at the event, but you are also encouraged to bring your own materials as well.
To attend this event, you are required to register with limited seats remaining. To register for this event, you can go to the following link: Give Old Clothes New Life: Repurposing Old and Thrifted Fashion
