APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - A new era of dining and community is coming to Apple Valley as The Wondrous Collective prepares to launch Revolve Hall, the city’s first food hall. However, this ambitious project is just one part of a broader transformation led by owner Tony Donatell, who recently shared an inspiring message about the changes ahead for the hospitality group on Facebook.
A Journey Back to Excellence
In a post on the Volstead House Whiskey Bar & Speakeasy Facebook page, Donatell reflected on his 17-year journey, which began with a gas station kitchen in Eagan and grew into a collection of innovative restaurants. He candidly acknowledged the challenges of the past few years, including the pandemic, staffing shortages, and rising costs, which led to compromises that strayed from his original vision. Donatell says the group is now embarking on a mission to return to its roots: delivering quality, creativity, and exceptional experiences.
This transformation includes renaming the hospitality group to The Wondrous Collective, reflecting a commitment to exploration, innovation, and redefining hospitality. The group will implement initiatives to improve food and beverage quality, foster team creativity, and invest in employee well-being, including a profit-sharing program and partnerships with organizations like The Mutiny Project to provide training and education for staff.
Revolve Hall: A Culinary Destination
At the heart of this transformation is Revolve Hall, which will open in The Wondrous Collective’s Apple Valley location, which currently houses Pizzeria Social and Curiouser Coffee. The food hall will feature five distinct dining experiences:
Counter-Service Concepts
Curiouser Coffee & Conservatory: An expanded version of the popular café, now offering an extended brunch menu and drinks like mimosas and martinis.
Square Cut Pizza: Specializing in Detroit-style and tavern-style pizzas, known for their fresh ingredients and innovative toppings.
Ice Cold Tacos: A unique dessert concept serving rolled ice cream in taco-shaped cold stone shells.
Full-Service Dining
Whiskey Inferno: A BBQ and steakhouse known for wood-fired meats and craft cocktails, expanding on its success in Savage.
Wanderer Bar: A seasonal outdoor bar offering globally inspired cocktails and a rotating menu that encourages adventurous dining.
Expanding Beyond Apple Valley
The Wondrous Collective’s vision extends beyond Revolve Hall. The group recently acquired the Amoco gas station, currently called The Outpost in southern Lakeville, and will transform it into Farmer’s Grandson Eatery. Hoping to expand on what they started in Eagan 17 years ago, the eatery will offer high-quality, made-to-order meals alongside fuel services, continuing the legacy of Donatell’s first venture.

8’s Happy Hour: An $8 menu available weekdays from 2 PM to 5:30 PM.
Late-Night Happy Hour: Half-priced food and drinks from 9 PM to close.
Wondrous Rewards Program: A loyalty program offering redeemable dining and shopping points for exclusive perks.
Holiday Gift Card Promotion: Buy a $100 gift card and receive $35 in bonus bucks, presented in an adventure map design.
Community Give-Back Program: Hosting fundraising events that donate 15% of sales to local organizations.
