Early Morning Fire at Ridgeview Apartments in Burnsville: No Injuries Reported

BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - A fire broke out early Saturday morning, September 7, 2024, at the Ridgeview Apartments in the 12800 block of Nicollet Avenue in Burnsville, Minnesota. Fire crews from the Burnsville and Eagan Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:10 AM. The blaze was quickly upgraded to a second alarm at 2:15 AM following reports that all three floors of the structure were engulfed in flames.

Upon the arrival of the initial Burnsville firefighters, they confirmed there was a working fire on all levels of the building. Mutual aid was provided by fire departments from Bloomington and Apple Valley, while medical support from Alina Health stood by in case of injuries.

The fire was knocked down by 2:48 AM and marked officially out by 3:41 AM. It was reported to us that at least six apartment units were affected, with most of the damage stemming from smoke and water. Residents were temporarily displaced as Metro Transit provided shelter for them during the emergency. Red Cross was also called to the scene to provide residents assistance following the fire.

City of Burnsville officials confirmed that, fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the cause of the fire is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine how the blaze began. Updates will be provided as more details become available.
