Update on the Young Women Seriously Injured in Eagan Crash on September 24th

EAGAN, MINNESOTA— In the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 24th, a serious collision involving a Dodge Dart and a semi-truck occurred at Central Parkway and Yankee Doodle Road in Eagan, Minnesota, which left one young woman in critical condition. We would like to provide an update from the family on this young woman and how you can help the family in this difficult time.

The driver of the Dodge Dart has been identified as Rachel Vanasse, a student in the 2021 class at Two Rivers. According to a GoFundMe set up by friends and family of Rachel, she suffered severe injuries, including a traumatic brain injury and multiple broken bones. Emergency responders from the Eagan Fire had to extricate Rachel from the wreckage following a collision with a semi. She was then rushed to Regions Hospital in critical condition. She remains in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), where she is being treated for her injuries, including brain swelling. She is currently on a ventilator and chest tube to assist with her breathing.

As previously mentioned, Rachel's friends and family have launched a GoFundMe campaign titled "Support Rachel's Long Road to Recovery," seeking support for her medical expenses and long rehabilitation journey. Her loved ones ask for prayers, donations, and positive thoughts during this challenging time.
