Serious Crash on I-35 in Lakeville Leaves Motorcyclist Critically Injured

LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA – A serious collision occurred on northbound Interstate 35 near 185th Street West in Lakeville, Minnesota, just after noon on Thursday, September 19. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle, followed by a secondary impact with a passenger car.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. No other injuries have been reported at this time. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Following the incident, northbound lanes of I-35 were closed for approximately two hours to allow first responders to conduct their investigation and clear the scene. Traffic was diverted off the highway at 185th Street West, with vehicles reentering past the bridge at the same exit.

The road has since been reopened, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
