Pedestrian Struck, Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Delays on Cliff Road in Eagan
EAGAN, MINNESOTA—An accident involving a pedestrian leads to another crash and significant traffic delays along Cliff Road near Slater Road on Friday, October 18th.
At approximately 11:52 a.m. on Friday, Eagan Police, Eagan Fire Department, and M Health Medics were called to the scene after a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the eastbound lanes of Cliff Road just east of Slater Road. The pedestrian, treated at the scene by paramedics, was later transported to Region’s Hospital for further medical care. The condition of the pedestrian remains unknown at this time.
In addition to the initial accident, two other vehicles were involved in a related collision. Both drivers in this second incident were cited for driving without a valid driver’s license. Police did not determine the exact cause of the initial crash, with conflicting reports from witnesses about who was at fault for the pedestrian being struck. The driver involved in hitting the pedestrian has not been cited due to the conflicting reports.
This crash heavily impacted traffic in both directions of Cliff Road, with delays especially severe in the eastbound lanes.
