We have learned that the 16-year-old boy who was rescued from the icy waters of Markgrafs Lake on December 2, 2024, after a multi-hour search, has sadly passed away.

Hennepin County Sheriff's Office reports that a 13-year-old drowned at Parkridge Way Apartments in New Hope, Minnesota, yesterday evening.

We have learned more about the fatal drowning incident at Antlers Park and about the heroic rescue of a second victim.

Recovery efforts continued on Tuesday for a Vehicle that drove into the Minnesota River on Sunday evening. During recovery efforts, a second vehicle was found. The victim was found in the vehicle.

Sunday evening, emergency personnel were dispatched to a vehicle submerged in the Minnesota River call in Bloomington, Minnesota. Recovery efforts are currently underway.
