Four-Vehicle Crash Temporarily Shuts Down Southbound Nicollet Avenue in Burnsville

BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA – A four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Nicollet Avenue and Nicollet Boulevard caused traffic disruptions in Burnsville Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred just after 7:30 PM, prompting authorities to close southbound Nicollet Avenue at McAndrews Road as the crash was completely blocking southbound lanes of Nicollet Avenue and westbound Nicollet Boulevard. According to officials with the Burnsville Police Department, all four vehicles involved in the crash are believed to be total losses. One individual was transported to a local hospital for a precautionary evaluation, but no other injuries were reported.

Both Burnsville Police and Burnsville Fire responded to the crash. The exact cause remains under investigation. We hope to be able to provide an update on the cause later today.
