Single-Vehicle Crash in Burnsville Leads to DWI Arrest; Investigation Ongoing

BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - A single-vehicle crash in Burnsville on Friday night, November 1, 2024, led to the arrest of a 31-year-old woman on suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI). The incident occurred shortly before 9:10 p.m. near the intersection of I-35W and Highway 13.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, initial reports indicated that the vehicle’s occupants had fled the crash scene before authorities arrived. Officers from the Minnesota State Patrol, along with support from the Eagan and Burnsville Police Departments, responded promptly to the location and launched a search for those involved. Minnesota State Air Patrol was also on the scene to assist.

The driver, identified only as a 31-year-old female, was subsequently located and taken into custody on suspicion of DWI. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash, including details on any passengers who may have been involved, are still under investigation as officials work to determine what led to the incident. Whether additional charges or arrests may follow remains unclear.
