Law Enforcement Continues Search for Wanted Fugitive Following Burnsville Police Activity
BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA – In the early hours of Friday morning, January 10, 2025, law enforcement officials from the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) Fugitive Apprehension Unit, alongside the Burnsville Police Department, executed a search warrant at an apartment located at 15300 Greenhaven Lane in Burnsville. The operation aimed to locate Kireice Plez-Sachet Williams, a 23-year-old man with an active DOC warrant issued on December 22, 2024, for alleged violations of supervised release conditions.
Authorities were drawn to the residence based on information suggesting Williams was present at the location. However, the search of the apartment did not yield his apprehension.
Late Thursday evening, January 9, 2025, a 911 call reported a domestic disturbance from the same apartment under investigation. Responding to the call, Burnsville Police and the DOC Fugitive Apprehension Unit encountered Williams in the building’s parking garage. Williams refused to cooperate despite initial contact and retreated into the apartment building. Subsequent searches of the apartment and surrounding areas indicated Williams had fled the scene, possibly after jumping out of a window. Additional assistance and mutual aid were called in from neighboring police departments, including Apple Valley, Eagan, Lakeville, South St Paul, West St Paul, Bloomington, Savage Police Departments, and Minnesota State Patrol. Within these departments, SWAT units from Dakota County and Bloomington Police Departments were also called in. The Burnsville Fire Department was also staged in the area.
A female individual connected to the searched apartment was arrested in the parking garage by Burnsville Police. Details regarding her identity and charges have not been disclosed. We have contacted Burnsville officials for more information and will provide an update as we know more.
Williams is described as a Black male, 6 feet tall, weighing 271 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. Law enforcement officials emphasize there is no known threat to the public at this time. However, they urge anyone who sees Williams or has information on his whereabouts to contact 911 immediately.
The DOC and partnering law enforcement agencies continue their efforts to locate Williams. Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
