Vehicle Crashes into Eagan Montessori Academy; Three Injured

EAGAN, MINNESOTA - An accident occurred at the Eagan Montessori Academy on Rahncliff Court this morning, Friday, January 10, 2025, when a vehicle struck the building, causing moderate damage and injuring three individuals.

According to officials with the Eagan Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 8:28 a.m. A 42-year-old driver reported that her car failed to stop as she attempted to brake, leading to the collision with the academy. Witnesses report this might have been a Tesla. Emergency responders, including mutual aid provided by Burnsville Fire, responded to the incident. Two adults sustained minor injuries but were medically cleared on-site. A three-year-old child was also reported to have minor injuries and was transported to Children’s Hospital for further evaluation and care.

Officials report that the damage to the building was described as moderate, but it is unclear how long repairs will take or if it will impact operations at the academy.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, with authorities working to determine whether mechanical failure, driver error, or other factors were involved. Further updates will be provided if additional details emerge.
