Two Injured in Eagan Crash; One Driver Arrested on Suspicion of DWI

EAGAN, MINNESOTA - Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle crash that sent two people to the hospital late Friday night and resulted in one driver being arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The collision occurred just before 10:55 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the intersection of Dodd Road and Highway 55 in Eagan. Minnesota State Troopers, along with Eagan Fire and Police departments, responded to the scene.

According to officials, a Kia Sportage and a Nissan Rogue collided in the intersection. Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. According to witnesses, the Kia Sportage was traveling westbound (south) on Dodd Road and ran the red light at a high rate of speed when it T-boned the Nissan Rogue, which was traveling southbound on Highway 55. Minnesota State Patrol states the driver of the Kia Sportage, a 76-year-old woman from Inver Grove Heights, was arrested on suspicion of DWI and criminal vehicular operation. Due to her injuries, she was not taken into custody but was left at the hospital to receive medical care.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash remains under investigation. No additional details have been released at this time.
