Three-Car Collision in Eagan Caused by Red-Light Violation

EAGAN, MINNESOTA - A three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Diffley Road disrupted traffic on Saturday evening after a driver ran a red light, colliding with two other vehicles.

According to Eagan Police, the crash occurred at approximately 5:41 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, when a Nissan Altima, traveling westbound on Diffley Road, failed to stop at a red light and struck two vehicles heading south on Lexington Avenue. The impacted vehicles were identified as a Chrysler Pacifica and a Ford F-150.

Police cited the 58-year-old driver of the Nissan Altima for running the red light and causing the accident. Authorities also issued a citation for failure to provide proof of insurance.

Eagan Fire Department responded to the scene to assist, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Traffic in the area was briefly affected while first responders managed the scene and cleared the roadway.
