Toddler Injured in Eagan Accident
EAGAN, MINNESOTA - Eagan Fire, Eagan Police, and Minnesota State Patrol were called to a residence in the area of Springwood Path and Sawgrass Trail West in Eagan on Monday afternoon, March 17, 2025, for reports of a child vs a car accident.
Authorities and emergency personnel were dispatched around 4 p.m. and have confirmed a 3-year-old child was riding a scooter when a car in the driveway hit the child, pinning them underneath the vehicle. According to Eagan officials, the boy was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred. Eagan Fire personnel were able to quickly extricate the boy, who was then transported to Regions Hospital. His condition was not known at the time.
The Minnesota State Patrol crash reconstruction team is assisting Eagan investigators in determining the cause of the crash, and that investigation is ongoing as of Tuesday afternoon.
